Lining Specifications

Copper Coat™: After complete fabrication, the tank shall be lined, by using the "thermometalization process," with 1 00% dead soft copper to a thickness of 5-6 mils, creating a non-ferrous corrosion-resistant protective surface. In addition, the tank shall be equipped with Copper Coat manway cover and Copper Coat threaded tank openings. The interior surfaces shall then be overcoated with two (2) separate coats of Precision Seal, with a dry film thickness of 5-6 mils each, and then force-cured in a high temperature oven.

Precision Seal: After complete fabrication, the tank interior shall be lined with two (2) separate coats of Precision Seal to a minimum dry film thickness of 5-6 mils per coat. This epoxy is then baked with individual curing cycles in a high temperature oven.

Aluminum Silicate Cement: The lining shall be an aluminum silicate cement good for service temperatures to 250°F with the same coefficient of expansion as medium steel. The water absorption of the lining material shall not be more than 8% of the dryweight. The cement shall be applied to a minimum thickness of 5/8" to the interior of the Storage Tank to form a hard, one-piece lining.
